Informed Choices: Health Expert Network
Urban Fit Kids connects families and schools with a network of health professionals who provide valuable insights on various health topics upon request. This initiative allows participants to gain knowledge from experts, including those with personal success stories in health and wellness. To request a presentation simply fill out the request form.

Inspire & Empower: Culinary Arts & Fitness Sessions
Urban Fit Kids provides 45 minutes-1.5 hour sessions led by chefs, guest experts, and inspiring individuals who share their personal health journeys. Participants including youth (age K-8) will enjoy culinary demonstrations, hands-on cooking lessons, customizable fitness activities and open discussions about health and wellness, fostering a supportive environment for learning and growth.

Leadership in Wellness: Volunteer Opportunities
Join us in supporting community-based health and wellness initiatives! Health PROS- An initiative aimed to help youth become health ambassadors.
The Health PROS initiative aims to educate primarily African American boys, starting from the third grade, to become health ambassadors through fitness and nutrition education, including culinary arts. The program's goal is to equip these boys with knowledge about obesity and other chronic illnesses so they can effectively educate their community on healthier living habits.
Health PROS PILOT SERIES
Health PROS Pilot Series: The Health PROS pilot series features two delicious plant-based recipes designed to encourage healthier eating habits among children and their families. Join our young ambassador, William P. (age 10 at the time of recording), and Chef Dave as they guide you through these nutritious meals.
Featured Recipes:

Baked Potato Soup: A creamy soup made with coconut milk, providing rich flavor without any meat. This nutrient-dense option is perfect for a comforting meal.

Zoodles and "Meat Balls": Enjoy zucchini noodles (or "zoodles") paired with flavorful plant-based meatballs. Zoodles are high in water content and fiber, making this dish both hydrating and filling.
These recipes can be easily prepared at home, allowing Health PROS participants and their families to bring nutritional lessons to life. Our goal is to empower ambassadors like William to share knowledge about healthier eating habits within their communities.
