History
Urban Fit Kids (a/k/a JazzyKat Kids) began as an extinction of JazzyKat, Inc.
JazzyKat’s community outreach efforts in urban areas received overwhelming positive community response. JazzyKat realized that its desire to serve this population exceeded its available resources, and in 2007 JazzyKat Kids, a 501(c) (3) tax exempt nonprofit was formed. In 2010 JazzyKat Kids began operating under the name Urban Fit Kids to better reflect its mission.
Mission
Urban Fit Kids' mission is to empower children in urban communities to take ownership of their own good health. We envision communities where children become more physically active and make healthy lifestyle choices
